Terms and Conditions

  1. Smart Home Technologies may charge you a diagnostic fee (Including shipping charges – Mail-in Display repairs), if Smart Home Technologies inspects your product and determines that (i) your product does not require service, (ii) if your product is ineligible for the repair quoted initially and requires additional parts (iii) if your product serial number has been altered, defaced or removed, or the product has failed due to accident, abuse, liquid spill or submersion, neglect, misuse (including faulty installation, repair, or maintenance by anyone other than Smart Home Technologies ), unauthorized modification, extreme environment (including extreme temperature or humidity), extreme physical or electrical stress or interference, fluctuation or surges of electrical power, lightning, static electricity, fire, acts of God or other external causes (“Service Exclusions”). Smart Home Technologies will return your product without servicing it and may charge you the Diagnostic Fee.
  2. Smart Home Technologies will not be responsible for any damage to the product that occurs during the repair process that is a result of any unauthorized modifications, repairs or replacements not performed by Smart Home Technologies. If damage results, Smart Home Technologies will seek your authorization for any additional costs for completing service even if the product is covered by warranty. If you decline authorization, Smart Home Technologies may return your product unrepaired in the damaged condition itself.
  3. Smart Home Technologies will take due care of your product during repair process. Smart Home Technologies will not be responsible for returning the product in the same condition as received from the customer, if the quote provided by Smart Home Technologies is rejected by the customer.
  4. Original Job sheet from Smart Home Technologies should be shown to technician at the time of collection of the product. If you fail to provide, Smart Home Technologies reserves the right to retain the product till it is provided. Smart Home Technologies may at its sole discretion consider alternative modes to verify the authenticity of the customer and choose to deliver the product after verifying the credentials of the customer.
  5. In case of chargeable repairs, an estimated tentative cost is derived based on initial customer input. Actual cost of the repair will be informed to the customer through phone / mail after detailed diagnosis. 100% payment should be made before Smart Home Technologies starts with the repair.
  6. During the course of repair, if we come across any essential additional repair, then a fresh estimation will be sent. Customer approval with Full payment of the balance is essential to complete the repair. If the customer requests the equipment to be returned without repair, the same will be accepted only if the Smart Home Technologies diagnosis charges are paid. If any spares has been procured from Smart Home Technologies for repair, payment made earlier towards repair will not be refunded. The charges for repair diagnosis vary for each product based on the complexity.
  7. All efforts will be made to ensure that the product is repaired within 3 working days from the date of acceptance of repair. However, if the repair is complex to resolve or if there is any constraint on the spares availability, the repair turnaround time may take longer than the indicated time. Smart Home Technologies will not be responsible for any loss due to this delay. And if the spare is not available with Smart Home Technologies than the product will be returned to the customer without any repair. In such a case diagnosis charges are still applicable for chargeable repair.
  8. On acceptance of the product for repair, if we come across any unauthorized modifications while troubleshooting where the same is tampered / abused internally or if the components are missing internally, then all such products will be returned to the customer without any repair. Smart Home Technologies will not be held responsible for any such occurrences.
  9. While every effort will be made to ensure proper care of your product, Smart Home Technologies will not be held responsible for any kind of losses occurring due to unforeseen circumstances described as “Act of God” in Smart Home Technologies policy. Accessories are accepted under owners’ risk and the company is not responsible for the same if not recorded in the Job sheet. All repaired products should be collected within 2 weeks from the date of intimation through mail /sms/ call. In case of delay, Rs. 100 will be charged for every extra day. If the product is not collected by customer within 45 days from the last date of the penalty period of 2 weeks, the same will be considered junk and disposed. Smart Home Technologies will not be responsible / accountable for returning the product.
  10. On confirmation of acceptance of repair, we expect the customer to have a backup of all the data. Smart Home Technologies will not be held responsible for any kind Illegal software used in device and data loss, customer would be responsible for re-installing all other software programs, data and passwords post-repair.
